Help for Victims of Violence during COVID-19
The Domestic Abuse Service Center (DASC) offers assistance to victims facing abuse. They play a large role in assisting victims in the Hennepin County area with filing for Orders for Protection. In response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), all services available at the Domestic Abuse Service Center will be provided remotely to maintain the safety and well-being of Hennepin County community members and staff.
You can find more information on the DASC and District Court websites along with Hennepin County Attorneys Office social media accounts will be updated to inform the community of changes.
Here is what you need to know:
- Access to the Center is closed, but clients can call the front desk at 612-348-5073 to be connected with an advocate via phone.
- If clients do not have access to a phone and/or a safe place, they can utilize a conference room on the A Level of the Government Center ( A0710) . The room will have tables with a phone to contact an advocate to submit a Petition for an OFP, safety plan, locate shelter, referrals, etc.. A Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Deputy will be in the room to ensure the safety of our clients.
- Petitioners can always use Guide and File if they have access to a computer and a safe place.
